ENCHANTED.

These pictures were in September Vogue- I was enchanted then, and I am even more enchanted now. How romantic is this wedding?? I flipped back through my September issue and just got stuck on this story.
But then, I am a huge fan of Kate.

What is inspiring you?

MINNIE BOW.

I love this bow, I feel like Minnie Mouse in it and its awesome.

I wore this outfit to work on Black Friday and actually had a woman offer to buy it off my head. Thats what I get for wearing something from two years ago on the biggest shopping day of the year. Oh well, I told her I couldn't part with it and went on my merry way :)

 she wore: Forever 21

The mister took me on a date tonight- we ate yummy Italian and then saw the Muppet Movie... it was beyond cute and took me back to my childhood a little bit.

I am so excited to have tomorrow off, I have a fun to-do list to complete :)

GIVING THANKS.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving ... we spent time with both families, ate lots of food, and took the time to really think and soak in what we are thankful for. I wish we thought about this more often, its so easy to forget the little gifts of life.

I have been up since 2 this morning- went into work at 3:30, witnessed Black Friday Chaos and then came home to a relaxing day with my little family. I even snuck in a little nap- it was delightful :)

This is what I wore for Thanksgiving festivities. What I love about this outfit most? Mint and Rust together, the pleather fantastic-ness of the this skirt, the thick heel of my boots, and the pony on my sweater. Some pictures sprinkled in of my families house- pops and grandma cooking, the sisters and our little family portrait in the backyard.

 she wore: Forever21
He wore: 21Mens Cardi and Tee; Levi denim; Target shoes

Isn't Stella Beans new coat precious?

TOP 5: THANKFUL THOUGHTS.

Her Thankful Thoughts:
1. This Blog- I am so grateful to have this little nook of the interwebs. I have 'met' so many sweet people. and I am so thankful for each and every one of you who stops by! Your comments always brighten my day.
2. My Personal Growth- I am so so so thankful to my ability to embrace change this year and in turn growing as an individual. I made more time for what I love, started a new store with the husb, and let myself explore more things and encouraged myself to learn.
3. Our Little Nest- I love our apartment. Everything about it just has us all over it. I love coming home and being home. Its made me a real homebody!
4. Career Advancement- Promotions, Store openings, and having the opportunity to work with some really awesome individuals has been a great experience this year. I am so thankful for everything I have learned this year!
5 My little Family- Saved the best for last! I am so thankful for my Mister, he makes me laugh so hard it hurts, listens to me vent my problems, and makes beautiful (and sometimes weird) art for me to feast my eyes on. And I am thankful for Stella Bean, she is the sweetest thing I have ever had the fortune of knowing, she makes our little home complete :)

His Thankful Thoughts:
1. My Family - I'm thankful to have such a loving and supportive family. Especially my wife and puppy. I just love my girls. They mean everything to me.
2. My Creativity - I'm so glad to have this as such a big part of my life. And I'm doubly grateful that I've been doing so well with my art recently
3. My Friends - We don't keep in touch as often as we should, but when we do I remember exactly why they were my friends in the first place.
4. Netflix - Janae, Stella and I have had a lot of good times this last year on the couch with each other watching some old classics and some new favorites.
5. All of the Little Victories - You really need to cherish all of the little ones you get, whether it's doing well at Comic Con, showing a painting in a gallery, saying something people "like" on Facebook, or finding something you've been looking for.

What are you thankful for this year??

WAITING FOR NOTHING.

Today was an incredibly beautiful day- after so much rain it was nice to see the sun!

I made enough stuffing for both sides of the family today- Yes, StoveTop is my contribution to the feast. I made it all in about 10 minutes which is perfect for me since the work schedule is kind of crazy lately. There is nothing like retail around the holidays!

I am apparently really into mixing and matching a lot of things that shouldn't be mixed and matched. Last week it was the navajo prep and this week its the ... fair isle rocker? Cozy sweater, studded headband and liquid leggings. It worked. Right?

she wore: Forever 21 leggings, sweater, scarf, headband; H&M tee; Target bag

I am waaaayy ready for bed right now. Tomorrow will be a full day of family and food ... I love the holidays :)

MOTIVATION.

This advice is from radio personality Ira Glass. I just read a great article on Talenthouse about how we hold ourselves back as creative individuals. As creative individuals Nate and I often get frustrated with our work, walk away, fume a little, and then come back. Apparently we have some more years ahead of us :)

BABY YOU CAN DRIVE MY CAR.

We seriously have to start shopping for a new car. At first I was bummed, and then I realized there were so many cute cars out there ... especially this two-toned Fiat! I have been inspired all evening by pretty things that would look oh so good in this little beaut :)

25 BEFORE 26.

Something the mister and I started last year was a Birthday goal list. I got the idea from  A Beautiful Mess and it's just a really great way to start off your year ... I love making goals (and lists)! This year there is so much I want to learn. I am really looking forward to challenging myself!

Today was one of those perfect rainy fall days. Still kind of warm with a misty rain that just makes you want to stay inside. We celebrated my birthday with my family, had some cake and then came home to finish decorating the Christmas tree ... I know I know, its early. But you know what? I just couldn't wait any longer :) Now we are cozied up with a hundred candles, coffee, some good jams and a sleepy Stella Bean.

Today life is really good.

A GREAT START TO A GREAT YEAR.

This was the happiest of Birthdays :)

We road tripped today to my favorite restaurant, Lynns Paradise Cafe in Louisville, KY. If you haven't been, you should! Its so insanely fun and sensory overload, everywhere you look there is something new to see. A dine in Flea Market really, vintage lamps, manniquin bits and pieces, disco balls, cement creatures, and neon art.

Its.Amazing.
